XXX XXX Pasta
Zacha Lindholm Marchand
XXX Coyle Poitras
Beecher Kastelic Koepke
Johnson

Frederic, Geekie, Brazeau, Jones, Tufte have been a failed attempt by Sweeney.
Lindholm doesn't work with Pasta and is a second line centre. Send Brazz down, sign Johnson, call up Lysell and try to trade Freddy and Geekie. Then when this fails, fire Monty, miss the playoffs and fire upper management.

Too many holes, no prospects, need a top line playmaking centre for pasta, players like the fourth line that bust their ass every game. Geekie, Freddy provide nothing. At this point would rather Brown over both.

Zacha and Pastrnak worked fine last season. What they really need is someone on their line that can distribute the puck. I wouldn't mind seeing Poitras get a shot up there. Marchand and Lindholm should be the other pair. Both are good enough defensively to try Lysell on their wing.

I agree wholeheartedly. The middle of the lineup is nothing but filler. Frederic and Geekie are free agents at year end and should be busting their asses for a new contract. Instead, they look like they don’t give a shit. Forward group needs a shakeup and adding Lysell + Johnson is the obvious, easiest first move. They couldn’t look worse than the guys they’ve got

They have one effective line and now it's blown up. Seems like a hail Mary and a message to Sweeney... Wtf am I supposed to do with these lifeless players.

Maybe, but given how a guy like Frederic has shown he is capable of playing physically, why is Monty not able to get that Fred to come out to play…ever?

It’s a lineup with plenty of weak spots, but the uninspired structure, often weak work ethic, and passiveness of the team can’t be put all on the players. The HC has a job to get the most out of what he does have and Montgomery is performing far below that.

Lets make an offer for Fiala. His value is not that high at this moment I would think. H. Lindholm + Lysell or something and you get much needed talent upfront

Yeah - simple to absorb that $7.875M contract for 5 more years. Lol.

?? What's lindholm cap hit and terms? Fiala has mental issues, but he is electric and PPG player. I dont think LA would let him go for that but who knows (blake is a zzzzz clown)

Unless the 7,85 is Lindholm contract? Fiala has a big contract too! Not sure I follow srry

We heard the same thing when Cassidy was coach. It should be clear at this point that Frederic's unwillingness to be physically engaged on a consistent basis is a Frederic issue and not something that we can blame the coaches for.

5vs5 goals:

Coyle = 1 in his last 46 games (0.02 per game)
Zacha = 1 in his last 23 games (0.04/g)
Marchand = 1 in his last 21 games (0.05/g)

Not good enough. Especially for "top-6" players.
A shit ton of money to be paying guys to kill penilties , and not be good at it either

You are probably right but I see Zegras out there for taking and habs are all over it.Good reclamation project there
I would move freddy for him.

Based on what? Seems to me most coaches are afraid to try it. But I can think of one coach who won multiple Cups with the strategy.
I think Bruins issue is lack of scoring in top 6.But fair enough.We knew going in they needed more scoring on wings.

I would pack Freddies bags for a young centre :laugh:
