Lindstrom is a no go for Columbus. They've all but confirmed he's likely going back to the WHL.

Mateychuk could very well steal a spot out of camp.

And unless Columbus adds a usable vet to the roster a guy like Brindley could wind up stealing a spot out of camp. His style of play might not get him a Calder but it could definitely solidify his spot in the lineup.

I think you more or less nailed it for the Ducks. Though Colangelo, Pastujov, and Sidorov may get games as injury call ups.

Colangelo has the best chance of getting an extended spot on the Ducks but his first rookie tournament game was pretty awful.

Rangers rookie class will likely just be Rempe. There’s an outside chance for Edstrom, Othmann, and Berard, but they all likely gotta kick someone out of a spot on the fourth line (Edstrom) or third line (Othmann, Berard). Matthew Robertson also has a small chance at 7D, but he’s kind of not good at minor league hockey, so it’s unlikely he’ll beat out Ruhwedel.

Celebrini and Smith are virtual locks to make the Sharks. I think Mukhamadullin is likely to play at least half of this season in the big club. Askarov could be up with the Sharks if he beats out Blackwood and/or Vanecek, which isn't exactly a tall task but isn't nothing. Long-shots would be Quentin Musty, Thomas Bordeleau, Danill Gushchin, and Ethan Cardwell.

Savoie is probably a really long shot at sticking in the NHL this season, he hasn’t had the greatest preseason. He still needs time in the AHL.

Lekkerimaki probably also bounces up and down

For the Avs:
- Nik Kovalenko should be on the roster and could be used in a variety of spots.
- Cal Ritchie could very well see 9 games. He’s probably not ready to be a full-time top nine NHL forward but the Avs are a MASH unit up front right now and don’t have many options at center. He won’t be AHL eligible so if he doesn’t stick, it’ll be back to the OHL.
- Sean Behrens is probably better than Erik Brannstrom and likely already one of the best six blueliners on the team but the Avs last minute splurge this summer on blueline depth (Kylington, Brannstrom, de Haan) means he probably starts with the Eagles and is probably there most of the year.
- Forgotten first rounder Oskar Olausson has flashed some real skill but is probably more of a call-up option. I’d like to seek him out up some real numbys in the AHL before getting too excited and with AHL vets like TJ Tynan and Matthew Phillips now in the program, maybe we can actually develop some forwards in the AHL.

Cristall is pushing for a roster spot with the Caps, but might wind up back in Jr. I hope he makes it, he looks good in preseason. 3p in 3gp so far.

Roy is still a rookie in Montreal. Depending on what line he lands, he could be a surprise for a lot of people.

Hmm I think Matt Coronato has been one of the Flames most dangerous offensive players in pre-season but surprisingly, he does not meet the cut off for Calder eligibility due to the Flames aggressive trade deadline fire sale

Casey has been the best player on the team in camp. He deserves to make the team and especially given the injuries to Luke and Pesce to start the year. With a healthy lineup he likely gets sent back down because of the numbers game but if things keep up how they have then he'll deserve to keep his spot over Nemec

Rempe is looking like he’ll make it, which was expected.

Adam Edstrom has had a great prospect showcase and preseason, but I’m still skeptical he makes it.

Victor Mancini has had close to as good of a prospect showcase and preseason as Edstrom, and also is still in contention to make the team. I think his chances are even lower than Edstrom, but there’s a chance.

For the Canucks:
- Raty is making a strong case to be on the opening night roster. There is a spot open with Joshua out, it would be nice to see him on the 3rd line with Garland to start.

- Lekkerimaki is looking good, but the consensus among Canucks fans is that he should spend this season developing in the AHL.

- Silovs will share the net with Lankinen for the time being.

list so far:

Edvinsson DET
Edvinsson isn't technically a rookie/calder-eligible anymore. But yeah, he'll be in Detroit's top 4.

Still like 80% of our preseason left to play but it wouldn't be shocking to see Marco Kasper or Nate Danielson crack the opening night roster.
