Prospect Info: '24-'25 Prospects Thread: Generation Z

It def sucks to see all these teams pick up kids or make their signings and the Pens get nothing.
Yeah mate, although if you’re a young lad wanting a good future and do your research, would you join this team?

I’d question how stupid the wanker was that felt his best career path was with the Penguins, honestly.

Timrå got eliminated from the playoffs today and news stories are making the rounds that Pittsburgh wants to sign Hållander for next year, as I think I posted about earlier. Just news that it's still on the table.
Hallander literally left because he wasn’t happy with how he was being used. I don’t see him coming back to have an infantile twat like Sullivan still there ready to f*** him over again.

Yea really want the next ZAR or DOC in 2 years
Well when that's all you can attract, that’s all you’re going to get. You whine about those two now, but that Josh lad that was in the Pens camp that is a free agent prospect, he’s a bigger plug than what you thought of those two.

When you’re a trash organization, you can only attract the ones no one wants.

Do You think there's a good chance Hallander makes Sweden's team for the world Championships?

It sounded more like Hallander left because he had a kid back home. And he had a serious concussion that last season he was here which might've spooked him about his life and career.

The Timra deal was also probably more guaranteed money than he was getting in the AHL.

He was waiver eligible so if he stayed 1 more season and didn't make the team he'd have been available for free to the other 31 teams, so if he felt like he was being underused here that would be a good test on whether he'd have been used differently elsewhere.

I would temper any expectations. Hallander was here before and showed very little. Give him a shot, but I wouldn't be overly excited about it TBH.
Sure, but in the two years since he's been gone he's improved a lot, statistically at least. PPG in the SHL isn't a joke. I'm not penciling him into the lineup, but his improvement has me very interested.

He's no risk, so sure why not. It's no lose, just not confident it's much of a win.

A reasonable expectation for Hallander's current ability is that he's an effective bottom-6 guy that could be a good 3rd liner. I'd expect him to be a roughly Oscar Lindberg caliber player, who Hallander actually outproduced by a bit last year in the SHL.

Lindberg had a career 13 goal, 26 point pace in the NHL, so I think Hallander coming in and being a 15 goal, 30 point bottom-6er seems like a pretty reasonable estimate. Nothing special, but an effective bottom-6 guy.

Nah, he's better than Henrik Zetterberg now. I will hear no disagreements, thank you very much.

I know Howe is AHL eligible next year but I hope they send him back for another WHL season. His best offensive season in the WHL was in his draft-1 year, where he had 85 points in 67 games as a 17 year old. I think he'd be better off dominating the WHL as a 20 year old overager than likely struggling in the AHL in a depth role.
