'24-'25 Prospects Thread: Generation Z

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Wonder if we plan on signing Graham. Seems like a waste to have included him in the deal otherwise. He’s not very productive by NHL prospect standards but he does fight often, maybe they’re looking to develop some 4th line guys of our own. Like Reaves, but better at actual hockey.

Definitely would not mind developing some of our own 4th liners as opposed to spending $2m on them...

We will. I don't anticipate Poulin being much of anything but he's a guy that could easily go on the 4th line for a couple of years.
lol…he’s 24 already but I don’t think Sullivan would even play him on L4 until he’s at minimum age 28 with at least 100 AHL games where he PKs for at least 2 min per night

I have hopes that Pickering might produce at a 30point level but if Laatsch makes it then I'm guessing Gill / Scuderi levels of production.

It's not a good sign. There are like 3 guys total in the modern NHL that didn't produce that have become quality NHLers. It's about as good a sign that you won't make it as there is for D-men. Like you say, even someone like Dumoulin was productive at every level even though he is all defense at the NHL level. Laatsch is less productive than Scuderi was at the same level, and Scuds played in the dead puck era.

Poulin is good in AHL but blows in NHL IMO

Am curious too. Wonder if he gets AHL deal

Sorry its displaying my old name for now, will change it back to PensFutures as soon as it lets me...but anyway the Nailers finally ended the drought. After being shutout the last 2 games, DSP scored early in the 1st.

Fort Wayne has controlled most of the game, but Gauthier is playing well, stopped 21 of 22. Currently 1-1 halfway through the 2nd. Will be posting some Gauthier highlights after the game.

Edit: here is Kyle Jacksons PPG to make it 3-1
