Yeah I still don't know what Quinn's purpose was/is tbh. Was he supposed to fix the power play? Was he supposed to be the EK Whisperer like Tocchet was apparently the Kessel Whisperer? Beats me.

Pals with Sully though, that's enough for me (to despise the dude being on the coaching staff).

Dubas silently has to be OK with a top 10 pick and maybe higher with lottery luck. Plus what he gets back from the Karlsson, Rust and potentially Jarry trades in the off season. Add in the second and prospect from moving Petts at the TDL Cap increase next year gives the Pens more ability to move contracts. Lots of picks, some prospects and continue the rebuild. Sid sells tickets in the meantime.

I think Jarry and Graves are buy-outs unfortunately. But at least Graves might be salvageable with a more coherent defensive style.

I dunno if you even bother with buyouts tbh unless you're really trying to open up as much space as possible to chase somebody huge in FA or to take on a heap of terrible players for picks/prospects.

Yeah with Jarry and Graves buyouts you're only getting substantial savings for one year. After year 1 the savings are 1.1m or less. You might as well just make both of them cheer leaders for WBS for the rest of their contracts and get the 1.1m in savings.

Less about being a narc and more not wanting every single thread to turn into complaining about Sullivan/Jarry/Graves/Dubas/ect.

I'm not saying you're not allowed to complain, but at least keep it to the appropriate threads. I'm in this thread for prospect updates, not a debate on whether buying out Jarry is the appropriate move.

That seems like a good fit. Calgary is already in line to make the playoffs and has Kindel who's highly ranked for this upcoming draft and Yakemchuk who was picked high in the last draft.
in the HFBoards way

I checked their stats and ages and decided that Howe should be their top F. If he’s not their leading scorer from here on out then he’s a bust.

Yeah Calgary has a good balance of being a competitive team but also not so good that Howe wouldn't get chances. Ideally he should be the most productive forward on the team

[random useless post]

Every time I see that name I always think it's a typo and should be Yaremchuk.

Tough break for the penguins
Penguins defense prospect Harrison Brunicke fractured his wrist and is expected to miss “considerable time” according to Kamloops Blazers GM Shaun Clouston. The injury happened Nov. 10 in practice and Brunicke played the next night, then reported soreness in his wrist after. Clouston isn’t ruling out Brunicke still pushing for a World Junior Championship roster spot late next month.
