It's early, but it's surprising.

Worst in the league:

SJS -15
NSH -13
EDM -12
COL -8
PHI -8

Best in the league:

WPG +16
NYR +14
DAL +9
CGY +8
NJHC +7

Please don't come at me with "it's early! You S.O.B.!!!"

I've already stated it's early.

This is an ongoing discussion.

Very interesting start though.

I was going to add PIT to the list but PHI is just ahead on the worst list.

I think you're saying that NYR is worse and that PIT is better?
I am just saying the Rangers have a whooping on a bad Penguins team. That's all that number means.

Jets offence has been working great under the new coaches, but would like to see them tighten up defensively even though they’re ranked 2nd OA in the NHL in GAA and 1st OA in GF

Dallas
NSH and EDM are moderately surprising on the worst side, and COL I would expect to give up a lot of goals but balance it with their own offense.

On the best side it’s Helley, Shesty, Otter… not a lot of big surprised.

Winnipeg also won their first game by 6. And the Rangers have won all 4 games by 3+ goals. What are you talking about?
Whoops. I am saying that I suck at reading numbers and thought they were +7. My bad.

I guess I have a different definition of "almost entirely" because 43% aint it.
Yeah, I suck at reading numbers apparently. I though it said +7 for them.

Update!!!

NJD have played 15 games. Most teams are hovering around 13 games now.

The Best Teams:

WPG +32
NYR +20
VGK +19
CAR +18
WSH +14

THEE Worst Teams (shame on you):

MTL -18
SJS -17
PHI -15
NSH -13
PIT -13

3 things stand out:

1. MTL fans felt they had one hell of an offseason. That they would make a massive jump in the standings, and slip into a wildcard spot.

2. PIT hired Dubas with the premise of win now, and to squeeze the last out of Crosby/Malkin/Letang. It's looking like a short-term/long-term disaster.

3. Barry Trotz is now pondering/threatening a re-build if his team doesn't get going. If he pulls the plug on having a competitive season, will he fire Brunette...and then himself?

This is inaccurate.

We didn't expect to be the worst team in the league but the large majority realized we weren't a playoff team and had a lot of holes.

You seriously think the Habs are worse than the Penguins?

The two losses doesn’t matter

No. If you go back to the preseason, Habs fans were convinced that "superstar" Laine was going to change their fortunes. Go to any preseason discussion and you'll see a much different tone.
