That's goofy lol. Handled it better than the NHL refs though gotta say  I don't like those tight offsides, I think that should've been a goal tbh

I thought there was no VAR in the League Cup. Happy to be wrong here.
Think it maybe only gets used for the semis and final. Definitely don't have it for the whole competition.

Arsenal not exactly with the most composed build up to start this game

Over the weekend, Arsenal beat city because they had such a big physicality edge. They don’t have that against Newcastle

Miss a sitter on one end and then concede...

City didn't have the benefit of a 2-0 lead and sitting back with 10 men to counter all game either

Saw it in first leg too. Arsenal took advantage against a City side that can’t run. They aren’t going to have that edge today.

But you guys also might not care that much. We aren’t going to care much tomorrow either. Just think the difference between Newcastle and City is clear to see

It's a fair point - Newcastle is definitely more physical. But I think a large part of it is also them sitting in a 5-4-1 and countering vs City actually trying to play with the ball.

We seem to often have trouble with Newcastle since their resurgence
We do for whatever reason. Doesn't help that they are one of the biggest time wasting teams in the league and Bruno G was able to literally assault Jorginho that one game without getting a card. But they've just been better than us in this tie.

Gets Nwaneri on I guess, and a week and a half to get over it if it's not serious, but makes not getting a forward look all the more silly..
