You need good goaltending. We didn’t get that.

Hank got his moments still, but this don’t cut it. He over commits extremely much on Pasternak.

Power Play was brutal and let them down. Team took their foot off the gas when it was 2-0 and let Boston back in it when they looked like they had nothing.

Not scoring on the 5 on 3 and then the double minor let them down. Why not make an adjustment?

And why wasn’t Strome on Krejci on the OT goal? It’s his man. Watch him below he peels off and coasts back puck watching Pstrnak. If he stays with his man then that goal doesn’t happen regardless of Fox and Buch failing on Pasta and Hank over committing.

3 out of 5 goals were scored by a Czech guy

got home right on time to watch us lose

Oh my God chill lol
They had a chance to take 2 points against one of the best teams in the league. They played an incredible 30 minutes. And then as usually the air went out. They started to play slow. Losing puck races/battles. They played cute on the power play. They could’ve put the game away.

nah I won’t chill

Buchnevich should have gotten that shot on net, but he did make a nice move to get there in the first place. He had a goal. He was involved. He was noticeable. He skated better as the game went on. I don’t get the hate. He did one stupid thing and everyone goes from praising him to blaming him for all the team’s problems.

Yeah Strome and Zib are playing the same role and neither of them seem to know where to go.
Yep. Pretty weird after it clearly wasn’t working all game that they didn’t make an adjustment for the late double minor.

Going 0-6 with a 5 on 3 for a minute and a double minor late in the third is pretty inexcusable and per the hockey gods they deserved to lose.

Very disappointing loss for sure. The PP really let us down this game and criticism of personnel and usage on the PP are absolutely warranted. At least it was a lot better than the last game against them. We just have to take the point and move on.

How can you fault the goalie but not mention the defense, namely the 2 backcheckers for allowing that pass to make it through? Not to mention Pasternak deserves some credit for making the play happen too.

It was basically 1v4, Pastrnak vs 3 Rangers and 1 goalie. I'm not even sure Krejci was in the zone when he drove wide on Fox. Lundqvist read he had no help and really cut down the angle. I call that playing the %'s as much as an 'overcommit' in that situation.

I was expecting them to be blown out. The bruins are a veteran team. Your high if you didn't think they weren't going to come back. They've man handled the entire league. The fact that we did what we did early on was impressive. Especially for a rebuild team.

Which makes it all the more frustrating/infuriating that we had them on the ropes up 2-0 with a 5-on-3 late, which we called a Timeout for AND THEN forced passes while also not designing the strategy/play around Panarin. Put the game away.

Our power play was atrocious. Too much farting around. The two man advantage we didn't get a shot---the 4 minute penalty towards the end of the 3rd we lost just about every puck battle. Boston are an excellent team so getting a point out of them isn't a horrible result but IMO we let them take the game away from us.

First 35 minutes of the game were outstanding for the most part. They were not giving Boston much time and space, were causing turnovers in the neutral zone and just inside the blueline before the Bruins could setup their attack. Then they started backing off and giving them tons of room to skate pucks in and it fell apart from there. Wasn't a bad performance overall but the first 35 minutres is how they have to play.
