He played center the whole game. When faceoffs were on the right side Strome stepped in a few times to take them but then they switched same as he did with Kreider. But he played the entire game in the middle and was fantastic
I actually think it is doing him favors, long-term, to play with two guys who are constantly giving their all.
I’m trying to think back and maybe you and @Kovalev27 are right. Given the history, I just assumed it was Strome, but I’m remembering the positioning... and you’re probably right. He was the center on that line. His positioning made that clear.
Chytil played center the whole game. But on Kakko agreed.

Wingers don’t position themselves just above the crease in the D zone when the D are in the corners or behind the net.
Fox and Panarin were both well worth the price. Panarin is so dynamic he changed the entire complexion of the game at all times. He draws so much attention and is so good it doesn’t even matter that everyone is focusing on him. He’s a true superstar, a (skater) talent this franchise hasn’t seen in a long long time.
Skjei - Trouba is looking like a good pair, nice to see Brady step it up.
Bend not break game tonight, this type of win can be big for a young club.
Need to get Kakko a better center or move him up the lineup. Howden should be 4c crashing and banging.
Too many men penalties have to stop.
Still can’t get over how improved Lindgren is. He clearly took his summer very seriously. Last year he looked like he could be a AAAA player. Totally different this year. Definitely has a future as a modern day shut down guy in the NHL. Good skater, can jump up in the play can play physical but also has skill, will make the right and smart play 99% of the time.
Yep that too. They first very well together, very complimentary skill sets. And a perfect storm reuniting with his WJC pairing mate Fox.
I thought the same, but I’m thinking back now and I think @Kovalev27 and @Tawnos may be right given his positioning in the defensive zone in particular.Could have sworn I saw him at RW many times with Panarin and Strome. Was he C on that line?

I get that with Lemmy, not Howden.
I'm just not seeing how it's helping him right now and would like to see him put in a position where he could get his scoring going and build some confidence.
No way in hell. Even Quinn knows it!Really hope Staal doesn't take his spot.
No way in hell. Even Quinn knows it!
Hajek will be the sacrificial one
Chytil over Bread for me, by a hair.It has to be Hank, Bread Man and Fox (the order is irrelevant). I just don’t see any other way.

Ehhh. He was good, but the others impressed me more.Chytil.
I'm with you! Just don't see anyone else with Skjei playing better. Hopefully the team keeps playing well and winning and no one comes out.Don't want him taking his spot either
Chytil should have played center. Mind numbingly stupid to move him to wing with how he’s been playing there. And to accommodate Howden rather than give Kakko some talent to work with? Just stupid.
Fox was excellent again. Such a gem.
Good win against a good team but some dumb decisions lineup wise.
Edit: to quote Dr. Tobias Fünke: “I feel like a ****ing idiot” could have sworn Chytil was playing RW but I was distracted watching to some degree
