Yup. I never criticize hank like some do but i do enjoy watching talbot. This is an olympic year as well so we need to give hank as much rest as we can

Why is Lundqvist not starting this? Talbot is playing way too much for Lundqvist to find his elite groove. Talbot should only be starting on back to back nights, and when the team has three games in five nights, or four games in six nights. That alone would put him at ~ 20 games this season, and that's all he probably should play. Right now, it looks like Talbot will start 25-30 games (he seems to be starting once every three games or so).

Lundqvist put in a special performance last game, and honestly, should have had the nod this game. Ride your elite goaltender after he put in a special performance and found a new level of confidence.

That said, I guess it makes sense to start your back up against teams that struggle to score goals. And I'm sure it's going to be another game where he faces 20 shots, faces four or five scoring chances, and fans will marvel at how he only let up one goal and push for him to start even more.

Personally, I'd like to see Lundqvist start 60-62 games, and Talbot pull in the remainder.

Preds shouldn't be underestimated. It will be a good test for him.

Nasvhille shouldn't be underestimated, and no team should, but it shouldn't be much of a test in the Rangers play their game. Nashville is 24th in scoring and historically ranks in the bottom of the league in goal scoring. And they've always lacked a true super star up front.

Lundqvist is a work horse, and I know some will disagree, but let him find his stride, confidence, and let him play. I don't think a goaltender like him, who is accustomed to play 60-70 games a season, 60 in a light year, is going to find his game getting rested as often as he is.

Some goalies need the consistent work to keep up their consistency, and as a work horse, I think Lundqvist is one of them.
