[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

They came out like gangbusters, but in the second we found our legs.
- Chris Kreider

I think we earned this one after two or three really strong games at home without points.
We just made up our minds going into the third that we really need this one.
- Henrik Lundqvist

We got off to a good start in the sense that we scored on our PP. Hank made an unreal pass so that we had that quick breakout, that quick strike.
And after that, Hank put on a display in the 1st period. We didn’t have our legs. We had a tough time moving the puck and they had some quality chances.
He kept us in the game. But after that, in the second and the third, I thought both teams battled hard. There were some good opportunities at both ends.
We were able to come out in the third and strike quickly two times and then we defended the lead and got a win.
- Alain Vigneault

Nashville's forward lineup doesnt look too tough. Fisher and Legwand as 1 and 2 centers?

Believe me, they can score when they feel like it. It's just that it's either 6 goals or a shutout, no middle ground. But we better hope we see the latter.

I was so pissed about missing the Rangers in Dallas because of my busy period at work that I decided to fly to Nashville (from Houston) for tomorrow's game. Let's hope for a good game.

Three wins in a row for Nashville

Chicago (7-2), Detroit (2-0), then Toronto (4-2). They beat Colorado the week before.

this is not a pushover

Staal looks questionable with sore foot, hope he plays

Update...Staal is playing, x-rays were negative

This should be the AV Quote in the OP.

“In Van, we did the fathers, we did the mothers, we did the siblings and they all had different dynamics to it,” Vigneault said. “The father one I remember when we did it we had a supper and then the assistant coaches took the fathers out to Tootsie’s and we lost four of them during the night. My mind is already made up this is going to be a lot of fun. We did it twice, the fathers, and once the mothers and the siblings.”

Forsberg is a scratch eh? Shouldn't stay that way for too long.

He Didn't travel with the team on the mini road trip to Det and Tor, has been DTD with an upper body Injury. Have not heard any updates if he's in the lineup tonight but if there is i'll definitly post an update here.

I'm excited to see Gaustad on the ice surface facing off against Boyle. Despite the fact that Gaustad is pretty overpaid, I wanted to add him real bad at the trade deadline the year the Sabres let him go (still can't believe Darcy got a first for him) and make him a staple in the Rangers lineup.

Definitely have to go with Hank again tonight. He's hit his stride, let's get him consistent work
