Still a great week, we we're 15th and now only 3 points out of the 8th with 5 points out of 6 on the road and no Vanek during the weekend.
Keep positive and still hoping Regier will wake up and bring some help on defense and pp, Weber do ok but him and Pardy are quite scary !!!

I know vanek's out right now, but why the **** isn't VHP with Hoff/Myers or Leo a PP unit? Then use some combo of ennis, staff, grigs, gerbe, ott as the 2nd unit.
They need a complete system overhaul ASAP as well

I just don't see the point of the Point men shooting on the Powerplay when no one is standing in front of Lundqvist (with Vanek out).

The hyperbole and stupidity over that play will be sooo annoying the next few days. I think a few posters on the main board are under the impression that Richards is a cripple for life right now because of the hit.
Gotta love the NHL, Ennis is hammered from behind but Tyler does pretend he's dead so no major.

I know we are only 3 points out, but I just can't see us finishing ahead of NJ, NYR, or Philly. Our best bet would be for Toronto and Ottawa to fall apart I think..

You should read some of the "journalists" tweets on the situation. It's disgusting that they get paid to write about hockey, yet they can't even describe a situation correctly.
Particularly these two gems from Mark Spector (GOTTA LOVE SPORTSNET):
"Patrick Kaleta is a dangerous, irresponsible player. Has been for years. Game doesn't need him. Be a better place without him"
"Kaleta has a "bad rep" 'cause he's been hitting from behind for ages. He's Raffi Torres, but from behind."
I know more about Kaleta as a hockey player, and probably hockey for that matter and I'm an unemployed university student.

While missing the Ennis one is not good, it's not like Kaleta was innocent, it was a lazy dangerous play on one of the best players in the league.
Really not sure why we are defending him, it's a template for the kind of play that needs to be eradicated from the league. His a good guy and I love his heart and soul attitude but he did clearly cross a line, which his been known to do before. Don't forget his been done for headbutting before, it's not line he doesn't deserve a reputation.
