They aren't tanking. I wish they were, but instead they are doing everything then can to draft 14th OA.Michkov scored, Andrae got his first, the Flyers only got 1 point instead of 2 when they were up 3-0…all in all not a bad day for those hoping for a tank
Did you take a hit of deadheads stuff? Careful that shit will fry your brain.Just a reminder: So did most of this board.
I haven't been watching, has Seeler been as bad as these stats look?
He had neck surgery two summers agoSad to see, isn't it? What happened to him? He was the most promising young player we had just a few years ago.
I distinctly remember Giroux praising him as the next great Flyer in a tweet shortly after he was traded to Florida.
Inflated P% due to a strong SO record in the Torts era: 9-6 overall, 3-2 this season. The Flyers have 4 regulation wins. You know who that's better than? Nobody. Tied for last with San Jose and Pittsburgh.
How many other franchises take pride in being mediocre?I'd rather be bad than mediocre.

They've been mediocre for 15 years. People are tired of mediocreIt's a mediocre team that started slow.
Now they're playing better.
They're still mediocre but no longer bad.

Toronto is mediocre, while taking pride in their delusion that they're not, if that helps any.How many other franchises take pride in being mediocre?
So, I finally nerded out and looked up the first powerplay faceoffs. The Flyers have had 71 powerplays, but one started after Buffalo Knubled their own powerplay, so only 70 opening faceoffs. Strangely, MacKinnon's double minor has only been logged as a single powerplay.Frost is at 53.1% on 49 PP faceoffs
Couturier is at 55.9% on 34 PP faceoffs.

Not sure if that's updated for tonight's game, though
Anyway to check how many times Frost has been booted from the dot? Seems high. So, I finally nerded out and looked up the first powerplay faceoffs. I owe Frost an apology. He's over 50% and the team is exactly 50%. He has lost his last 4 opening powerplay faceoffs, though, and Couturier has taken the bulk of the openers since since Frost lost his last one vs Ottawa.
Frost: 17W 14L (55%)
Couturier: 9W 10L
Michkov: 5W 5L
Farabee: 1W 3L
Konecny: 2W 1L
Laughton: 1W 1L
Luchanko: 0W 1L
*There's a high probability of a manual error above, but it's close enough.

I suspect most of the Michkov faceoffs are because Frost was booted.Anyway to check how many times Frost has been booted from the dot? Seems high.
So does the puck.Every time Jim Jackson says "turbocharge time!" when Tippett has the puck, I die a little inside.
