Dallas has been rebuilding for a while, stocking on picks/prospects.

• Benn was a great find in the 5th round, but every team gets one of those once a decade.
  
• Chiasson was a 2nd round pick that panned out due to great scouting.
  
• Nichuskhin was a #12 pick that fell due to the Russian factor.
  
• Seguin was a deal Dallas was able to make because they had stocked up on prospects and picks for so long. They were able to sell part of the farm in Morrow (acquired in a sell deal to Pitts), Smith (drafted/scouted), and Fraser (scouted) along with Eriksson.
  

The Rangers haven't been in a position where they're stocking up on assets to develop like that in a while. Also the West generally places more emphasis on size, so drafting goes that way too.

These games must be so conflicting for you but I guess you get to see a team you like win either way!

How is Chiasson not impressive? He's not a future superstar or anything, but he's an excellent net front presence with great hands.

Seguin/Benn/Chiasson/Eakin/Nichuskin is an excellent group of young forwards. Eakin is a very underrated player.

Yeah he's a solid young player. Nothing to drool about though.

Benn and Seguin being on fire right now is clouding some people's judgement I just think.

They're really not that impressive of a team.

Hagelin should be in the top-6 over Callahan. Put Nash at his proper position. Sick of this team catering to Callahan. Like last year, instead of putting him in the 3rd line, they put him in the top-6 and moved a career RW to LW. ****ing stupid.

That would be a really nice change of pace for this squad.

How many years has it been since we had offense? Seems like forever. Don't get me wrong I think the team has looked good... there's just no finish there. Kreider on a PS... Zucc passing up chance after chance on odd man rushes. There's no one dangerous on this team.
