I think Gibson was actually having some fun again. It is nice to see him enjoying the game again.
Even if he got to go home to PA in a trade, both their teams are worse than the Ducks in points standings. He might as well make the most of the rest of his career and maybe the Ducks sneak in next year.
Hard to believe Nashville currently has the best odds for the #1 pick and Pitt is #4.

Gibby gave a great interview. He said the 4-min PK was just the opportunity to make up for goals he gave up when he came back from injury. iirc, it was the Detroit game, where the PK went 1/4. Yet, the Ducks won that game. When healthy players play, they all look great.

I don't miss Fowler at all, I liked our squad on D, they just need time to mature. Gibson is looking good. If we cant get value for him I would rather just keep him, especially if we are looking to crawl out of the basement and he keeps soaking up wins.
Fowler gunna come back and ruin the team’s chemistry unfortunately

I’d hate to send helleson down for fowler…. Helleson has been much better

Hopefully Leo back soon, and can keep the scoring going strong. Going to be key to more wins. Give the goalies some more goal support and not just 1 or 2 goals.

Fowler was never the same after Doan crushed him in his rookie year. His entire play style and demeanor changed. I like him as a player but he never became a steady 1-2 dman because of it.

Here is tonight's stat card. Some of the ratings on this chart I disagree with.

I was hoping Fowler would return the favor to Doan 2.0 when he plays against the Ducks his first time but Fowler has not a single mean bone in him. He's like the nicest guy ever.

Back to .500… they might not make the playoffs but the fact they’re winning on the road is a really good thing. Start winning at home and they might at least challenge for the playoffs.
If they finish around .500, that could be like a 20+ point jump, which would be progress for sure.

I’m telling you, teams seem to kill those “revenge” penalties off at a higher rate. I have no stats to back up my statement, also please don’t write me an essay, but 3 of those kills were what I consider “revenge” kills after the events with Carlsson.

I know he lives rent free in your head, and I think you’re wrong because Fowler is clearly a top 4 dman on this team… but the only dman I’d want out of the lineup right now is Gudas and that ain’t happening. Lacombe is the likely bench prospect when/if Fowler comes back.

This is true, Fowler was way more aggressive but I'm guessing that hit is when he said "I guess the coaches are right" and he just went into this shell of being a safe player that he's only come out of for short periods of time
