Vanek sometimes does the slap-shot. I've even seen him deke once or twice.

It's pure intimidation. Goalies know he's dangerous. So he just goes in slow, quietly, just waiting for the goalie to get too antsy and make their move...and Vanek's talent and quick release then burns them. Obviously some goalies are more poised and can wait it out...but you've got one of the best goal scorers in the game bearing down on you...most goalies just can't wait him out.

Vanek is a master of the shootout I agree with that.
The rest, well let me add to your thought's. Vanek doing a suacer over the puck with his tick before scoring as an example. He rarely does the same thing in shootouts imo. Tonight was very different to me and he just looked so casual. But fitting for him and regardless of style, had the usual result!

Probably the same. Dunno if Enroth will play, or if Foligno will be reinserted (and who would come out then)...probably have to check tomorrow.
