WJC: 2026 World Juniors General Discussion

Canada will be playing on home ice, so all good... :sarcasm:

I actually hope that crowd is more 50/50. It makes for a more exciting atmosphere. Just look at the Four Nations in Boston.

Unfortunately it looks like the organizers are keep to prices high because the know gullible Canadians will pay them. I know NCAA hockey has a solid fan base in Minnesota but they may not be willing to pay NHL prices for junior hockey

I cannot believe how many of my fellow Canadians have stopped going to the U.S. / cancelled trips. Not sure if they will feel the same in December.

They will feel the same in December. as they should. some will go...but Canadians will not be travelling in numbers like we have in the past.

And that's a good thing.

Man, I got a bucket list thing happening this year that I've waited years for, that I've paid money for, and I'm not sure I'm going. Never mind the boycott, I know people who have had border guards ask for social media passwords just to get in. It's not a safe place.

It would be smart decision to avoid. If World Jrs. is on your bucket list. just defer it to another year for a Canadian or European hosted tournament. If you do go...consider a bunner phone.

My bucket list item is a lot bigger than the world juniors. Yeah, if I go, I'll leave everything behind and take a clean burner phone.
