  • Congrats to our latest Sportsbook winners - GOLD MEDAL kihei, SILVER MEDAL fish7 and BRONZE MEDAL Sammy Kat - new tournament begins today 6/15
They're points earned after official elimination from the playoffs. So Vancouver earned the most points after being eliminated (through wins and OT losses). I haven't checked the standings but it's possible only Vancouver and Seattle earned gold points at the end of the season.
Oh ok. I guess that's a way to keep everyone from tanking. A bit gimmicky, but why not.

Teams thing for playoff spot till the end will not have a chance to earn any. Then again, a team on the edge of playoffs probably shouldnt get first pick.

In the end this is not more gimmicky than the NHL lottery, I guess. And it probably achieves the objective of keeping everyone honest better than NHLs system.

Definitely gimmicky but they're trying out stuff, such a 3 point games. It may or may not work in the end!

Curious, how many of the draft picks in previous years played in PWHL?

Most of them do. A high percentage of the draft picks end up playing in the league. Some are not with the team that drafted them. Some taken in expansion the last few years with Vancouver, Seattle, Detroit, Las Vegas, Hamilton & San Jose all joining the league.

Very good news! I was surprised they didn't sign her to protect her in the previous round, but I guess they had an agreement to wait until this phase in order to be able to protect someone else.

There is a new KK and she went 1st Overall to Vancouver.

Meanwhile the other KK won the Stanley Cup without playing and will likely be bought out.
