I swear some people don't understand what they're watching. Faber consistently rated lower than Fox all tournament, yet he looks tough or something getting hemmed in his own zone.

Don't pick our best defenseman for the Olympics because of 4 games where he was in the middle of the roster in performance. How could he have possibly won the Norris? Makes sense.

Hughes was invisible all tourney. The US needs another elite forward to breakout besides Eichel and the Tkachuk bros. Matthews still wants to choke in key spots and Hughes looks like a deer in headlights.

Hughes looked like a teenager, it was kind of sad. Falling all over the place, more blind passes than anyone could count, and a turnover machine.

He'll make the 2026 team, especially because of Quinn, but he shouldn't if that's what we can expect.

You know what the USA shouldn’t do?

Bring together the best players the nation has to offer and then get a coach who should have been fired from his NHL job 2 years ago.

Sullivan is a muppet!

Fox being extremely lackluster has been a thing for much more then 4 games come on.

Sullivan was fine. It's not his fault the Penguins roster is trash.
Sullivan is awful.

Dude is constantly trying to pound square pegs into round holes. Playing plugs/grinders over youth is one of his patented moves the past couple of years.

I will retract some of the negativeness if it comes out Connor has an injury he genuinely misses time for, but if not, and he sat him for Nelson is ridiculous.

The fact Connor didn’t play and a guy like Tage Thompson didn’t make the roster over some of these guys is another one.

Sullivan didn't choose the roster by himself.

Connor was given a prime role here and was a no show. He only has himself to blame.

Your Penguins just suck, pal.

Thank u to both NYC organizations for sending us your best

Hughes looked pretty lost on wing. If he finishes the season strong and starts next season strong, I'd still roll him as 3C. Eichel is your matchup center anyway.

The Penguins suck and Sullivan does as well. The both can be mutually inclusive.

In this case, they both are.

Austin Matthews not scoring when you need him to... name a more iconic duo.

McDavid on the other hand...

Tough pill to swallow because the game was there for the taking but instead we looked for cute plays instead of collapsing net front on them.

I’d take an invisible Connor over a visible Kreider on the off-chance he has one great play but outside of that you can’t really pin this on coaching.

the potential pitfall with the roster from the beginning came to pass, so it goes

What's with the overreactions... lol. 4 Nations roster was good. Overall good showing.

Same 8 players should be in the D pool unless John Carlson wins the Cup or something. Just don't do anything silly like bring Luke Hughes for novelty.

Forwards bring basically same Top 9 and you can tinker around with the 4th line

Same starting goaltender and Oettinger is clear number 2. The third is whatever but that could easily stay Swayman.

Give it another swing and see what happens. Hopefully Hughes and Fox play better, hopefully a bit more health overall, hopefully Matthews buries the chance next time.

B Tkachuk-Eichel-Guentzel
M Tkachuk-Matthews-Keller
Miller-Hughes-Boldy
Nelson-Larkin-Tuch
Thompson, Trocheck

Hughes-Mcavoy
Slavin-Faber
Werenski-Sanderson
Vlasic, Hanifin

Hellebuyck
Oettinger
Wolf

Feel good about the first 10 forwards, first 6 defenseman, and all 3 goalies. Gets murky after that.
