A McTavish+??? deal was the first thing I thought of when Larkin requested a trade. Posted it as well.

I think Coach Q would love Larkin as a 2C and McTavish gets a fresh start somewhere else.

I don’t think the + is a Minty level player, though.

The only thing is that Friedman said the McTavish thing back on June 7th. That was even before the Helene St. James report about FLA, MIN, VGK. Friedman has talked about Larkin a lot of times since then, and he keeps bringing up DAL and TB.

I'd bet that Detroit is interested in McTavish, though. Verbeek and Yzerman have the connection.

A 1st rounder is what I'd expect to get for Nuke if he's traded for futures. Could also be a lesser player with a low cap hit if the buyer happens to have one available. At minimum we'll get a 2nd rounder if we just have to get rid of him and nobody is that interested in him.
