This is why I’m hoping Bednar has an important offseason. The Avs didn’t lose a hard fought close, 6 or 7 game series.

They got waxed 4-0, after being the top team in the league. No one looked good. Everyone underperformed.

He can’t just blame a few injuries on everyone looking bad.

Yeah, if there is one thing, Bednar has the ability to grow. We know that from his first season to his second lol.

Let's just hope his assistant hire addresses his weakness this time.

Has he grown at all since then though? Seems like he has run the same system for many years and this team no longer can handle it. It worked great when the team was a bunch of mid 20’s players who could keep up with the attack and back checking required. Now that it’s become an old as hell team, he’s still running that system.

Many here have noted how out of synch him and management have been. They keep giving him older and slower players and he’s too stubborn to adapt a system that can better fit their abilities.

I'm pretty damn sure Brock is a fine player. He sucked in the playoffs. So did literally everyone else for the Avs.

We need a change in coaching, no more tinkering with the roster beyond what is necessary for cap reasons and acquiring that LHD.

Brock was a special kind of suck. He played with the intensity of drinking a cup of coffee at 8 am. Three points - including two empty net goals - in 13 games? 48% xGF from the Selke finalist? I'm willing to blame a lot on Bednar, and think he should've been shitcanned, but Nelson's pitiful postseason performance (two years in a row) is on him.
