Gavin McKenna looks like the best prospect since Connor McDavid.

With Quinn Hughes likely gone no perfect time to get the new core started.

McKenna - Dupont available the next two years.

McKenna/Pettersson + Willander/D-Petey + the monster package we get in return for Hughes would be an unreal core to build around.

Ask Aquilini to bite the bullet this one time and get his family to tip Bettman/Whoever and fix the 2026 draft lottery

Quinn still under contract. He’s not going to UFA if these crazy sons of guns pull this off

If not that, then faith

We should absolutely attempt a tank like the oilers did in the past. Since Our coaching staff is better than theirs if we can get top prospects like they did, the cup is almost guaranteed.

The odds of winning the 1st OA pick is already low enough, then you throw in the "Canucks luck" and Vancouver have essentially a 0% chance of getting the top pick no matter where they finish in the standing. No point dreaming about McKenna/Dupont.

Lucking into Hughes was our 1st OA, we just have to try our best to keep him around.

Fully on board with resting Hughes and Petey the rest of the year...........also give Myers a rest and give the youngsters a good taste here.

Ideally we slide back a bit (12th to 14th seems reasonable) instead of our usual finish strong and fuk ourselves for no reason bs.
