So basically we lost the whole Necas trade carousel when it comes to playoffs because Mikko is still a better playoff performer than Necas and Stankoven was awesome in this playoffs

Funniest thing I've seen in a very long time.

Not when you draft top 5 in every single draft to the point you forced the NHL to change the lottery rules. Them and Edmonton.
Three years they picked second, first, and third(maybe?) overall.

Then they made the playoffs ever since. Very ethical rebuild.

Carolina has cap room and assets still in the cubbard.

Unless they empty their prospect pool to bring in Mittelstadt they'll be a strong team for awhile still.

Maybe Kotkanemi becomes available in the offseason. Would he do any worse than whiskey dick Brock?

Why do so many of you guys hate Necas?

Don’t hate the guy he just doesn’t seem to have the mentality for the playoffs. When played physically he doesn’t battle back, he’s soft and tends to float around the perimeter. Wish it weren’t true but that what I saw last two playoffs.

Eichel had a very underwhelming playoffs. He piled up bunch of points against Utah and Anaheim, then was invisible in CF and finals. I guess he only had that one big goal against us and that’s about it

He was underwhelming in the SCF.

He had a good first two rounds, then 3 points in 4 games vs us and helped slow MacKinnon down tremendously at 5v5.

He and Marner disappearing in games 5 and 6 killed Vegas. There's only so long you can rely on Brett Howden's unsustainable goal scoring before it bites you in the ass if your big boys don't step up and take charge.

Eichel is still a fantastic player, but he's never going to be a playoff beast with his artificial disc replacement.

In retrospect it was the right choice, but he's never going to lay his body on the line to make a play. The potential consequences for him are significantly worse if he puts himself in a vulnerable situation.

I thought he was unbelievable for them in 2023.

At least i can live with Carolina winning it all. They deserved it and had great run. Doesnt matter if this was probably on of the easiest path to a cup in the last few years. They were hungry and got it done.

Still pissed our "golden boys" decided to pack it in in the WCF...

Let's go Whalers!

Good for Carolina, I was all in on them after we got swept. Totally suffocated the golden turds in the end. Grind that tape, Avs office.
