Here is the list of players acquired by Don Sweeney since 2015. Do we really have confidence that he will eventually bring an elite player to this team? What do you think is the better option? To continue adding players under Don Sweeney's management, or to make a change and bring in a new general manager? I'm asking the question....
Zacha and Hall are good gets, Getting rid of Hall was interesting and meaningless

Now trade Zacha at his all-time high value.

So they are looking to re sign Zacha, Peeke, Arddvisson. At the same time as being linked to Ristolainen, Trochek, Nurse Anddersson etc. What are they doing?! If they can't afford to make a trade for a first line centre which is the biggest need then why not say goodbye to ardvisson, trade Zacha for a first and a prospect and trade middlestadt for whatever you can. Then use a first etc to trade Elias Lindholm and see who is interested in Hampus. Use some assets to aquire players like Whitecloud, Zellweger, Tippet, Wright etc. and use this year to hopefully break players in, see if you have a 1st and 2nd line centres in house and rebuild the middle six. If Pastas mad then too bad. Sell him at the deadline for 4 firsts.
Peeke’s a good guy and not horrible but I’m moving on

Arvidsson 3 years, 4 maybe, 5 no way

Zacha gets the Raddysh deal

I mean you aren't getting a former 1st round pick in Reid and prime Stammer for a 1st and 4th. I'm saying would you take on the last 2 years of Stamkos to get a top D prospect that you need.

Rinse and repeat for a Josi
Stamkos looks like Lindholm 2.0. Awful big risk if Reid is not what you hope he is.

Shocking to see some of the all-in package suggestions and wild throwing of draft picks around considering it hasn't worked for the Boston Bruins in the 11 years Don Sweeney has been steering the ship. He has gone all in, given away countless picks, but "This time will be different! Somebody call Rob Thomas!" As we get buried under contracts again and wonder why we can't get skill guys.

It's depressing. There's nothing realistic that they can do to become legit contenders this offseason, but there also isn't that much to sell. Don will make the same small moves he always does and we'll be basically running back the same roster as last year, except this year we won't have the Panthers tanking and the Leafs won't be as dysfunctional, so I don't see the playoffs in the cards, but they're not bad enough to tank for a top 5 pick so it's more mediocrity as far as the eye can see.

So mush exaggerating in this post. Are you a fortune teller?

I said they are both comparatively unattractive, but that does not mean they are unattractive for the same reasons.

And being informed and comprehending are not the same. The latter doesn't always flow from the former. One Cup in 50 years rather suggests that, for all their success on the business side, ownership are not great at producing conditions conducive to winning hockey teams.

For as long as Jacobs has owned the Bruins, they have had more winning teams than anyone else. Cup winning teams? No. But can't say conditions under this ownership is not conductive to winning hockey teams.

Round and round we go! Where it stops nobody knows! I'm just hoping for a good draft and to see some kids play and make solid progress...everything else is gravy like last year's making the playoffs. Older you get, the lesser the expectations .....hope stays alive though but tampered with realistic expectations

You missed a 30 goal scorer in there.

The bruins top 6 sky falls if they trade Geekie for the 9th OA. 9OA probably doesn’t play in the nhl for 3-4 years and probably isn’t impactful until 5-6 years.
Maybe, but if Rudolph is there he could be in the NHL in 2 years. Send an offer sheet Carlsson way, or go after Tuch, Mavrick Bourque.

Sweeney needs to be aggressive take a chance, show some guts! If you can get those two first and a future second from the Sens you do it.

Sweeney needs to stop being a lame duck GM and make a trade that requires a set, where it doesn’t involve throwing his chips in for a rental!

Regular season winning is nice. It's fun. One does well not to under-appreciate it. But the aim of the game is to win Cups. Everything else is far and away secondary. Cup teams are winning teams. Everyone else are pretenders.

If you think one Cup in 50 years is a good return, I can only say you are easily pleased or have low expectations. I think even JJ himself, if he were being honest, would acknowledge that they've fallen short on that front.

Ok, I may have partaken some of the good stuff.

But, hear me out.

Zacha for futures.
4 1sts offersheet for Dorofeyev.

You still have whatever 1st(s) you get for Zacha, the Toronto pick and the Florida pick.
