Scotland loses 3-0 to Brazil. They're now in a holding pattern. With 3 points they're not eliminated, but they haven't clinched anything either.

They may have to wait until Saturday and the final group games to see if they go through. The last game is on Saturday at 10 PM (3 AM in Scotland).

Yes, Haiti was really competitive, but ultimately lost all their games. They have zero points & are eliminated.

So far 8 of 12 groups already have a team clinching the #1 spot.

Mexico, Switzerland, Brazil, USA, Germany, France, Argentina, and Columbia are all through as #1 teams.

Canada, Morocco, and Norway, have clinched as #2s, while Bosnia has clinched as a #3.

So tonight's games:

South Africa vs South Korea : If South Korea draw or beat South Africa, we play South Korea.

If South Africa beats South Korea, and Czechia draws or loses to Mexico tonight, we play South Africa.

If South Africa and Czechia both win, they will both go through but it will come down to goal differential, and/or goals for for 2nd place.

Currently, Czechia leads in both departments, so if that holds, we would play Czechia. In this scenario, South Korea is eliminated as a 4th place team

2 from free kicks. Canada got one from Saliba in the 6-0 win over Qatar. And, Portugal got one in their 5-0 win over Uzbekistan. They used Ronaldo as a dummy in that one. Everyone was shocked he didn't kick it.

At half, both games are 0-0, which only helps South Korea. South Africa & Czechia will be eliminated with draws. I guess that gets Scotland two steps closer to clinching.

I like our chances against any number 2 after watching these games. I feel like we could win against any of them if we play a solid game. Tonight probably could’ve been tied if it wasn’t so sloppy. Our subs have made a difference so far too.

I don’t think we’re the favourite but I prefer this to Belgium, Egypt or Iran.

If they win, we play South Africa. South Korea would be in stalemate like Scotland waiting to see if they did enough to make it.
