South Africa is a big, fast team that has a wall of defenders. I would start Promise & hope that Bombito is ready to go.

It looks like there are some really good games lining up in the round of 32. Canada vs South Africa isn’t one of them.

I know it’s early to celebrate but I would’ve taken this match all day. Avoided Mexico, U.S. in the the U.S., and Belgium or Egypt. Although Algeria is sitting in that spot now and not Belgium, maybe that will change again, I don’t know. Crazy, was mentally preparing for S. Korea, just shocked.

yadda yadda…careful what you wish for but I just feel like it’ll be a competitive game and not us trying to survive.

not sure Crépeau was the right goalie choice. Not sure how you get away from him, but he was just okay, and we need him to be the better goalie.

Our game adjustments were poor. When you need a draw and you let, not one, but two, bad breakdowns has to do with coaching. I’m a bit annoyed.

I actually think we let this game get away from us. I think a draw was likely with a half to play.

I don’t think would care this much if the next game wasn’t in Canada.
