That’s our likely opponent. S. Korea. If we win the group we play a 3rd place team, not sure who it would be, and if we somehow end up 3rd, unlikely, we most likely play the u.s.

Intensity was there but Mexico is quite underwhelming. Korea had the worst set up at the end, that 4-2-4 was just stupid. The back line had no option forward, as both midfielders were covered and just not offering themselves as options. Just a big disconnect. At least, they were able to connect some long passes and that made it exciting. Incredible saves on both sides in the last minutes.

S. Korea is very dynamic. Just not sure about their system. It would not be an easy match up. Have we played against them recently?

I'm still in shock that Canada won today. I know they were favourites, but part of me thought they wouldn't show up because we haven't seen it before...

I mean, they're about as good as a lock we have to make the knockout. Hard to imagine 4pts, with that differential, isn't enough for the 2 spot.

The biggest difference, for me, between this team and the last world cup team, is we're a bit better in the middle of the field, but our back four are better than just okay. They look good.

Where does Davies slide in? I couldn't imagine not having LDF on the field. Do we change our 4-4-2??

I don't know. I wouldn't take Johnston off. Is Davies good enough outside mid in a 4-4-2 and someone gets pushed inside?

I'm curious how it looks when healthy.
