if the Netherlands can tighten it up between their backend and middle of the field I think they can be a threat. Didn’t care for their positioning and marking in their own half. Gave too much space to Japan when they had possession. Sitting in a lead almost never works and Netherlands fell asleep in the set piece. Reminded me of Qatar’s late goal.

I think Morocco has impressed me the most so far. U.S. too, but weaker competition.

I like their football they play a precise game and have a fantastic change of pace.
They aren't cowed by the big footballing nations whenever I see them play.

Yeah, ive always respected the Japanese on the world stage. They always bring it and are never compromised by the stage. South Korea is somewhat similar too, traditionally speaking.

And I also respect how the Japanese conduct themselves. They always leave their environment as clean or cleaner than when they arrived.

The same thing gets said about them every big tournament. Why they opted for the changes they made when they did has to be questioned.
Dumfries with his linear play does not pose anywhere near the threat Summerville does.

Dumfries is effective when he overlaps and gets the ball in space but he didn’t do it tonight, he was sitting back for some reason

Canada could learn from studying Ecuador’s set pieces. They’re generating chances but not executing, and it requires making runs into lanes and hope an assignment is missed…they’re causing some chaos. Canada just stands around.
