Ivory Coast deserved the win. So many chances that they absolutely slammed over the net or wide. Finally someone with a soft touch just directed into the goal.

It was a strong second half by them.

Ecuador was frustrating. They're down a goal & still passing it back to D / keeper and playing conservatively. No wonder they can't f***ing score.

Nor mine. Japan had more stamina in the end. Difference in stamina might have been more pronounced in a hotter stadium. Japanese summers are sweltering..
Nah, it was idiot coaching mainly. Koeman made some dumb substitutions and had the Dutch sit back too much. They were controlling the game for the most part until he made that one change of 3 players. Another coaching move I hate, I would never sub in more than 2 players at a time, it’s disruptive. I’m pissed as a Dutch fan because that was easily winnable and Koeman helped them throw away 2 points.

Tunisia’s tournament is basically over unless they can beat and draw Japan/netherlands.

Even then it might not be enough with a goal differential of -3. Too soon. -4.
