So much for the discussion surrounding Egorov being worth five high picks including at least one 2nd….
What if Good reports and plays 2/3 line role, does that make the trade better for the Bulldogs? Either way I think it’s still a good trade for the Bulldogs. Be interested to see what they get for Leenders and who we get to back up. Logan Snyder put up decent numbers last year. With all the free agent signings the past 2 years bulldgs haven’t signed a goalie because they didn’t need to, I’m curious if Hyman goes that route

Good was actually a separate trade, but two 3rds a 4th and a 5th seems like a pretty good haul to me.

I agree, but discussion on the Petes thread earlier this offseason suggested it was going to be five high picks including at least one 2nd round pick, probably two! I was suggesting that was hogwash and that a 3rd-4th-5th was likely more accurate.

If you look at the Abe Barnett deal with Ottawa (3rd), I think that may be more comparable to the Good deal. In fact, I would put Abe Barnett as a much higher rated prospect to be honest. He is a highly rated prospect for the 2027 NHL draft. He has a good chance of going in the 2nd round, probably latest 3rd round.

So, considering Good is an OA ‘06 who doesn’t really have much of a pedigree, what is he really worth? A 5th? Maybe? He may end up being a very good player on an average team, no doubt. But those types of guys typically don’t have a high value in the trade market. They usually have a higher value for the team they actually play for.

I wonder if the Conditional 2nd and 5th in the Leenders deal are activated if Kwajah doesn’t sign…or something like that.
