Kind of like how London signed carcone and zocco.

Knights have a lot of ex knights and pro players sons on the team for next season. Krys barch, pat maroon, Ryan kesler, Josh beaulieau all have sons on the team for next season. Knights will be really good again next season. Between their goalie, solid players returning, elite import coming, good rookies and what they have done in other leagues moving up and rock solid free agent signings from the USHL. They will be a top team in the west conference that’s for sure.

Unfortunately right now I don’t think Sarnia has earned a reputation as a top place for players to want to go to and getting wingers like London does won’t come nearly as easily. London has consistent proven results and gets players drafted. Brantford also seem to be hiring lots of top names for their staff to build on their success and build a reputation as being a top spot to go a play.

Knights will be really good again next season. Between their goalie, solid players returning, elite import coming, good rookies and what they have done in other leagues moving up and rock solid free agent signings from the USHL. They will be a top team in the west conference that’s for sure.

Them and Guelph (still slightly favor Guelph) will slug it out atop the conference for sure. Owen Sound is projected to be a buyer too so could be 3 Midwest teams going for it.

Gonna be comedic to then flip to our division where we might be the only team adding. Could finish 15+ points back of those teams.

Wow, Klepov signs with Anaheim so it's NHL or OHL for him. I'm a big fan of him but I don't think he's NHL ready. Be probably the best player in the OHL. Be massive for Saginaw and bad for us.

How I wish we could get breaks like this... Lol. Instead Edwards bails for Notre Dame who I haven't seen add 1 significant player all off season.

Crazy, I think you’d have to plan on him being back potentially after Christmas for the stretch run. Even crazier he’s not an import. Would be a huge boost.
Edwards move is getting more comical everyday.

He is an import so they'd have to let go someone (likely the goalie with Knowling signing)

In a way I bet they frustrated because they've been adding some great talent, but they've been 16-17 year olds signinaling 27-28 as their year. Had they known (Klepov was legitimately NCAA bound as of yesterday) he was returning maybe they take two older imports to help now.

Yah seeing all these 1st/2nd rounders returning to the OHL some of which are huge kids (6'3/6'4+) just annoys me further. Then you add in ND looks like they'll be terrible & I truly don't get it.

I think he said In an interview he really prioritizes and likes school. Wasn’t doing school at all last year to focus on hockey look how that worked out. Lol
All in all if he’s never an nhl player going the school route will be better anyhow.

A third round player has about a 12% chance of making it in the NHL, for a fifth round draft pick that drops to single digits. Smart move to prioritize school. ND is a highly regarded university and their coach (who started last season) had a winning record with Chicago Steel 108–30–12–3 and won the Clarkson Cup. Wishing Edwards all the best.

He’s going to ncaa to get an education anyways why does it matter if he goes this year, next year or the year after? Might aswell do what’s in your best interest for your hockey career and give it all you got, you are getting a education irregardless.

Took the words out of my mouth. Obviously education is important, but he's likely going to be an NCAA player for at least 3 years. Maybe 4, especially as a 5th round pick.

1 more yr in the OHL to work on his game & physically mature made all the sense in the world. Also, maybe im wrong but could he not take some online classes in the meantime?

Just feels so rushed & super risky for his development.

This forum has talked about the lack of development in Sarnia many times. If this were London, Kitchener, Saginaw I would definitely agree with the idea of rushing.
Brown was lucky to get out had he finished out last season in Sarnia it would have been risky for his development.

Edwards can easily ask for a trade and stay in the league which would be in his best interest. That would be beneficial for both him and the sting.
