Well you certainly picked 1 of Holland's picks.

Rarely draft WELL?
Seider, Raymond, Edvinsson, ASP, Cossa, Augustine, Buchelnikov, Danielson

I'd say we're doing a very good job of drafting well since '19.

But hey, we drafted Zadina that one time. You're right. We should have drafted Hughes.

You misunderstood my post. You stated the Wings rarely draft pure sniped type players. My only focus was on they rarely draft sniper types that work out well. Zadina and Pullkinen come to mind.

Holland was horrible in the cap era draft. Yzerman has done a great job with his top picks. You only need to read my posts here to see that you and I agree. In fact, I was coming to the side of support for MBN in some redraft where it was suggested Eisermen be taken over him.

I am 100% in disagreement here. MBN is going to be a stud and is exactly the type of Winger the Wings need.

Yes I did misunderstand it. However we don't really draft a lot of those types and generally it's in round 2 or later. The wings focus (since probably the early 90's) has been on building high impact 2 way teams. That's why most of our picks are deemed *safe* or boring. We do have a need for some of those guys, but it's easier to trade or sign an offensive only threat like debrincat than it is to get a point per game 200 foot player.

Feldbergs went undrafted last year and doesn't exactly have great stats in the Q, but one has to think he gets drafted this summer due to his play this WJC. Talk about rising to the occasion, he is a Latvian hero at this point. Feldbergs has achieved DAWG status.

As said, resting Augustine. He was player of the game against Canada for a reason. Huge save after huge save .970% SP. Exciting time for this young man. Would love to see him win the IIHF and NCAA in the same year.

Kiiskinen with another goal . Nice to see the prospects playing so well

I'm sure itll be an unpopular opinion... does anyone think he can be anything more than a bottom 6 guy ? If not maybe hes someone we can take advantage of playing so well and being the main prospect dealt for a big player ?

Like him but for me hes not ahead of finnie buchelnikov nygard kasper danielson lombardi atm

And kiiskinen just added an assist

This is a trade not much discussed here, at least I have not seen it, but I hope he does pan out because the player traded, Andrew Gibson appears on track to be a 2nd pairing PK RHD in the NHL. (No clue what happened to the 2nd round pick.)

Canada comes back from 3-1 to tie it late...

Our formerly very own Andrew Gibson takes a penalty..

And Canada is losing with under a minute to go.
