I would be shocked if Team USA didn't have Augustine in goal for the knock-out rounds. He's just a fantastic goaltender who has already won a gold-medal on this stage last year, and is just an elite talent who has shown it time and time again (NTDP, Big Ten, WJC)
Maybe so, but Hammer is better than him ;)
If USA wants to win this thing, Hammer should be the guy in net ;) ;)

Hockey Canada continues to get far too cute with it's roster building. Between the tip top of their talent going straight to the NHL and the world getting better, they can't get away with extremely questionable roster building the way they used to. Far too much coach/GM nepotism towards their players and seniority with guys who should be pushed aside. You could seriously argue the players they didn't bring could comprise a better roster
Don't think it's nepotism, it's going with the guys they know well and their capabilities , that they well know.

That's how it is in competitive thing like sports and business.

Nobody is freaking when their team loses it OT in the prelims.

Canada now USA.

I think you're going to be shocked. Augustine gave up another 4 goals, in the US' only loss. At this point, I expect the Hammer to be in goal.
It’s a short tournament, and it certainly would be wise to ride the hot hand.

My obvious Kings bias aside, it’s not out of the realm of possibility to see him dressed against Canada NYE.

Not trying to derail the thread, and just an fyi, but you may want to look into the Hockey Canada's National Equity Fund and the 2018 Junior team before you take this a stance like this.

Yeah, he hasn't been the rock that everyone expected, but knowing the mentality of hockey coaches and their inability to adjust... I'd love to see Hampton in tomorrow.

Pretty cool that all of Canada loves this kid right now. In the future, dominating them all as a member of the SC Champ Kings, they will loathe him ;) lol
