Far be it from me to praise the Flyers undesired skill level, but Michkov has exclusively played with top 6 and middle 6 NHL talent.

The more apt example is Sochi being the worst team in the KHL his draft year and one of the worst his D+1. Future stars simply produce. If the argument is complementary depth players need more help and are situation dependent, I’m on board with that. But then that requires another admission.

Didn't he play with Phoeling and Hathaway? It didn't last long of course, but still. He played with Richard as well.

Anyway, Luchanko stats don't look great. Of course I haven't watched him in the CHL, maybe he creates a bunch of scoring chances for his teammates every game, but they can't score to save their lifes, it's hard to say.

Canada vs Sweden tonight, caught most of 2nd, now in 3rd. Bonk with Schaefer on top pair, doing PP and PK duty, as is Luchanko. Bjarnason started 3rd with a few nice saves. Berglund in for Swe, big boy, skating isn’t bad.
