2025 Womens World Championships

[Summer Rose]

Dates: April 9-20, 2025

Location: Budvar Arena, Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic

Group A: Canada, United States, Finland, Czech Republic, Switzerland

Group B: Germany, Sweden, Japan, Hungary, Norway

Format:

All five teams from group A (seeded 1-5) plus the top three teams in group B (seeded 6-8) will advance to the quarterfinals. The 4th and 5th placed team in group B will be relegated. There will be re-seeding of the winners of the quarterfinals to determine the semi-final matchups.

I 'think' you guys one that least big game for Bronze between us. It's a great rivalry and I hope we can battle for Olympic Bronze in 2026! I feel like every match is a 1 goal affair of nail biting and agony for both of us.lol

Emerance Maschmeyer out, Ann-Renée Desbiens uncertain. Canada will be without their Top 2 goalies. Kristen Campbell and Corinne Schroeder are the very likely candidates picking up the workload while, according to her headcoach, UMD Bulldogs' Ève Gascon will be there in Czechia.

ARD on it so there is hope her injury is not that serious. Miller has appealed to the IIHF to get her switch to China reversed and, according to head coach Troy Ryan, there is a good chance it will happen. But nothing official so far. Meanwhile, Primerano becomes the first 18 year-old to make the final team since a certain Marie-Philip Poulin.

Glad to see Gascon making the team. She likely won't play, but just being around the team will be tremendous for her. She is the future.
