Hell of a game. Fun watching the salty Canadian fans sitting stone faced.

Leonard is an absolute beast!

Wait the Caps have Leonard and Hutson??? In my opinion the best D and F from this tourney? Crazy for a team that hasn't even bottomed out yet

To me, Leonard was the best US player. He just looked like a man playing with kids at times.

And Hutson finishes as the first ever dman to lead this tournament in scoring. Called it from the moment I saw him play against Germany. I dunno if he's just developed like mad since the draft but wow he is a star

They also have Cristall who would've singlehandedly won the tournament for Canada

and generational superstar Dylan Strome

I called it back in the summer the US would have another strong team to repeat. And they go back to back for the first time in US history. That '05 group is special.

Two things can be true. Canada deserved to finish where they finished. And the players who weren't there would've made a world of difference.
Yes. This happens every year and one country has used it pretty regularly for their losses. Just saying.

I've never used it as an excuse before, and it's not an excuse now. But there's no denying that Bedard and Celebrini would have radically changed the outcome.

It's pretty rare when two players of that caliber are missing from one team in the WJC.
