It's literally a best-on-best U20 tournament. There are snubs at every level.
I don't ever recall seeing any Blackhawks player shed a tear after losing in the playoffs. I don't recall seeing players crying after getting bounced in the quarter or semi finals at the Olympics.
The WJCs are fever dreams with tons of raw emotion.
Because NHL players aren’t 17
Team Canada's braintrust, essentially saying they did everything right and wouldn't change a thing.
High floor player. His speed and defensive responsibility means he’ll likely make it. It’s just too bad the offense is likely not there.Moore rewarded for a really strong 200 foot tournament. Fair to wonder what the ultimate upside is, but I’d be very surprised if he’s not an nhl player in some capacity
If we had dropped from 3 in that lottery I’d have been pounding the table for him. Players like him don’t grow on treesGod Leonard would be a perfect fit in our prospect pool
You don’t have a point.Yes, welcome to the point.
For me it goes
NHL SCF > Olympics > World Jrs. > 3rd round of playoffs > 2nd round of playoffs > 1st round of playoffs > Frozen Four
You don’t have a point.
That they are 17 and emotionally immature in no way makes it the best tournament.
To me (just my humble opine) this event or the frozen 4 fail when compared to the NHL playoffs.
These are not teams they are kids thrown together from a variety of teams. The 4 nations will be a bunch of adults thrown together from a variety of teams.
Nothing beats the heart (and blood) of the NHL playoffs. Just reading the lists of players having surgery a week or so after the cup finals ends is all you need to know. They play through the pain for a chance to have their names engraved on a hunk of tin. … the most prestigious hunk of tin in all of sport.
Pretending your opinion is correct and any who disagree are wrong? You're allowed to be wrong about the world juniors. It's okay.
