Transfer: 2025 Winter Transfer Window - Rumors and Discussion

You know, I wonder if Tel ends up at Villa.
Not sure what Aston Villa are doing, Ornstein says that they have agreed with Al-Nassr for an 80 million Euro bid for Jhon Duran. No idea why they are selling him, a 21-year-old who has been as good as he has this season. This is off the backs of selling Douglas Luiz and Moussa Diaby last season as well. Very weird moves for a club trying to establish dominance as a top 6 team both in England and Europe.

If that happens, no way they sell Watkins AND Duran in the same window.

E: Also, if Al-Nassr completes the Duran deal, the Boniface move is off.

Aside from them getting like double what he should have cost, They must be in some PSR doo-doo

You choose, what should Arsenal do?

- Trigger Williams release clause (60 million Euros) in summer
- Buy Watkins at 60 million Pounds now
- Buy Boniface at 60 million Euros now
- Buy Osimhen at 80 million Euros in summer
Watkins is worth more than 60. He could be closer to 80.

Pretty funny to be Boniface in that situation. Dude thinks he’s getting the bag and the Saudis just leave him on read while they sign on the dotted line for Duran.

No matter what ages these guys end up leaving Saudi, they’re cooked at the top level. You can’t spend a few years playing Al Wehda away in front of six people and a pile of fresh figs and expect to come back and play high level European football, especially a guy like Duran who’s still developing.

I think Watkins likely goes for more than this.... That being said he would still be my first choice out of the lot. We need more goals in the squad and his proven Premier League track record makes him feel less risky.

I was referring only to Boniface, not Sesko. As for the age argument, assuming Boniface is only 24, there’s not a big difference there. I did think Boniface was a bit older, but might have been thinking of Guirassy. Either way, I would imagine someone looking to buy either of them is looking to have a player for a good five years or so and thus resale value wouldn’t be too much of a consideration. And I think there’s risk there with both of them anyway.

Boniface is 2.5 years younger than Gyokeres, and 2.5 years older than Sesko. I thought it was a bigger gap, but that's still not nothing when these guys are already this good. Either way, looks like Leverkusen will hold onto Boniface now.

ESPN sources added, however, that the player has not yet chosen to join the north London club and personal terms have not been reached, although if Tel decides to join Ange Postecoglou's side, it is understood that a contract would be agreed quite quickly.

That's cool, I love an MLS full circle moment.
MLS has been very entertaining to pay attention to for the last season. Skill level is obviously not the same as some of the bigger leagues but man the effort to win is so much higher. Some teams are boring but for the most part, teams are playing attacking football and it’s so much more entertaining then watching a team park the bus and pray for a point.

I like Ollie Watkins a lot, but spending more than 60m on a 29 year old forward would be pretty shocking.

Unfortunately, I support TFC where the football is far from entertaining and the club seems to be in perpetual turmoil.

It's fun seeing some of the other teams that come to town though.

It's not ideal but we haven't had a striker that consistently bangs in goals for ages. We need someone who can score and do it now, if its the missing piece for getting some silverware I'd do it despite the inflated price.
