Lmaooo ouch

Garnacho edges closer to a move away from old Trafford. Will be interesting to see how the perception on him changes

I feel like United haven't sold anyone/let anyone go recently that's gone on the be a clear and obvious regret. Lukaku had some good seasons after he left, but he needed to go. McTominay has been good since he left, but he was a bad fit stylistically for the most part....

But Garnacho I think there's a pretty good chance he leaves and develops quite well and that could be a regretful decision. He has some clear flaws in his game that need to be addressed and improves upon, but there's also quite a bit of raw talent there as well. Now granted there's plenty of context for reasons he could/should leave. Does Amorim believe he can develop into one of the two 10's? And United desperately needs to fix their PSR after lighting their money on fire with their recent recruitment... If you don't think he can develop into a 10 than he's the clear sacrifice to fix the PSR. Will be interesting to see how this all develops over the coming years, but I won't be surprised either way on if Nacho becomes a bit of a star or flames out.

I think the big question at the moment is his suitability to Amorim's system. He's got speed, though not elite, determination to drive to the net...err...goal, but he does get dispossessed easily because his dribbling has not developed. Amad Diallo is way better with the ball than him. What United fans have moaned for sometime has been his decision making, far too often going for a shot when a pass was there to be made to a team mate. Against Arsenal he did make the right decision to Bruno for the goal. But yeah, if United's PSR situation wasn't so dire, United wouldn't be even talking about a transfer.

Nothing suggests he’s a 10 for me.
Which is why I’m guessing he’s gone. Don’t think he has the skillet to fit Amorims system and I think Amorim doesn’t believe he will be able to develop that skillset. Will be interested to see how he fares elsewhere… any outcome would make sense to me honestly.

I don’t think that last part is necessarily true. I think if United’s PSR situation was better he’d probably get a bit longer of a trial period under Amorim. But nothing about his skillset fits what Amorim wants so he’s the perfect “cap casualty” to kick off a rebuild.

- All of the Italian reports say that Garnacho will cost around 50 million pounds and not the 75 million pro-United wanks are tweeting about.

- Rashford is simply coming down to Barcelona vs BVB, who are waiting on Fati to leave for Como.

- AC Milan is now looking at loan moves for Hojlund or Zirkzee.

- Kevin de Bruyne and Man City have not talked about a contract extension at all.

- Cunha used Arsenal to get him better wages to re-sign with Wolves, but the contract has not been signed after manager Pereira criticized him, meaning Arsenal are still very much interested in him.

- Forest going after Wissa and offered 22 million pounds which Brentford laughed at.

- If Ancelotti decides to step down at the end of the season, Xabi will become Real Madrid's manager.

- A lot of reports that Douglas Luiz is close to joining Man City, but some blocks are in the way to make it happen. Jvuve wants an obligation to buy, but City just want a pure loan move.

- Chelsea heavily scouted Jamie Gittens from BVB and reached out to Dortmund yesterday about his availability.

- Three BuLi clubs are going after Cherki, the rumoured amount is 22 million Euros.

- Barca looking at Musiala as their next marquee signing.

- Marseille looking at loan moves for Rashford and Tel.

- Brentford on the verge of buying Michael Kayode from Fiorentina.

- Arsenal looking at Hugo Larrson, but the move will cost around 60 million.

- Milos Kerkez declined to move to Man United in winter, summer is still very possible.

- Como is close to signing Eric Garcia.

- Santos want Washington back from Chelsea on loan.

- Leipzig wants Tyler Dibling, but Soton wants more than RB's original 30 million euro bid.

50 for Garnacho seems stupid. Guess that's what happens when money is burning a hole in your pocket.

Napoli could just wait till summer when he's frozen out of the squad and United have to cut bait.

United aren't actively looking to sell for any price, if not for the PSR situation wouldn't be selling at all. Amorim is still playing him. Also he's contractually tied for some time. United wouldn't have to sell him in the summer.

While I have doubts anything will happen in this window, those who've seen both play recently, which one's the better option?

I guess because he'd be loan player, registering him wouldn't be that much of a hurdle but theyt'd still need to sell someone (Fati?)?

Napoli still not close to United's asking price.

Alvaro has been great this year, but he’s only been good in the Portuguese League. Dorgu….he is certainly talented but I also don’t think he’s a left back? Leece been using him as a right wing a bunch this season. Honestly Utd should just sign both get rid of what they have. Start Alvaro and use Dorgu as a utility guy. And then at worst you have another option there is Alvaro is just a product of the Portuguese league.

Getting rid of the people is the issue. Either little interest due to poor performances, high salary of a combination of both. Plus they have to watch out that the sale price doesn't affect the PSR too negatively. Speaking of:

As Romano hinted earlier, Napoli seem to have switched interest to Dortmund's Adeyemi:

From the little he played at Lyon guy has checked out long ago.
Perfect for MLS then

Well that’s not my problem :)

Napoli aim to win the league title, so they want to bring in a good player to replace Kvara.

I think if you wanted to suspect the ref of something in that game, it's more in the realm of someone betting on how many pens get awarded, how many goals are scored overall, etc.

The Chelsea fans aren't spamming the thread with every single tweet, though, which is why a separate thread would be necessary.
Yeahhhhh as a United fan I have to have a certain person on ignore cause even I get annoyed by it.

not related, but I’m sort of glad United are moving on from Garnacho. He’s just so dumb with the ball. It’s like he’s more interested in the individual highlight reel than the team success. He has so much talent but is so selfish. One of my least favorite players to watch at United in recent memory.

I don't see why Alvaro isn't the obvious choice to bring in at LWB. Have a relatively cheap buyback clause on him and he's seemingly improved some since he's left and fits the mold of what Amorim needs at the position.

I don't buy for a second that PSR is the only reason Garnacho is being sold. He doesn't fit what Amorim wants at all in attack. He isn't going to magically become a 10. He doesn't have the brains to develop that ability imo. I think he's potentially gone regardless of PSR, but due to the PSR issues him leaving makes even more sense.
