Rumours of Araujo to Juve according to Italian papers. Could see it happening either him or Kounde.

Agent at work or paper talk. Doubt Juventus can afford him.

Do they have 60M+? I’d rather let him go than Kounde but wouldn’t mind either for the right price.

The catch with selling both, or at least Kounde as Araujo only plays a third or so of a season, is who do you replace them with? Martinez, Cubarsi, Christensen and Garcia are not a defense I want to be left with.

Mingueza linked with Aston Villa. Like the idea of Barca getting some transfer income, but would prefer he stayed with Celta. That said, whatever the kid wants.

Tah is already done for next season it seems, but for this one yeah, would not look very good. Martinez will eventually get injured

Tah is just the same strategy and I shudder to think what the wages are.

Garcia should have been sold already and should be sold this window. Martinez is doing a job, but he’s paid too much. Christensen should be sold in the Summer assuming he’s healthy enough to be sold. So that leaves money for Tah, but not a fan of players getting paid too much because we signed them for nothing.

Overall it's cheaper than spending 40 or 50 million on them

We can't expect every guy to be like Casado or Cubarsi. Chances are there will be a lot more misses than hits

It can be, but that doesn’t make it a great long term strategy. How much has the club got for its money with regards to Martinez, Garcia and Christensen? What are the long term prospects for those players? Players out there I’d rather pay 40-50 million on and have on lower wages than keep doing this strategy. You’d have to get the recruitment right, but it can be done.

Does this potential transfer also include Alisha...?

Would give them Chiesa back for both of them.

Also if Juventus is offering players out on a discount, probably shouldn’t oblige them. They are all crocked

Arsenal are not getting Arda Guler though.
Could be Odegaard 2.0 where he just doesn't get to play consistently because this is RM we are talking about. I doubt Real would sell him so early though.

I do agree with WBS, Guler is definitely the highest potential player on that list.

It's too early. He does look very good when he plays. Like future world class. Would be idiotic to sell him

I agree with your point. Eric should be sold anytime now, there were teams interested

I agree with you, but I have read his name in non-English newspapers for the past two transfer windows, claiming he is disgruntled from a lack of playing time. It could be unfounded since every country has those click Daily Fail sorts of rubbish, but I also think there could be some smoke to it. Now, I am not saying that because I want him to go to Arsenal. If he did want to move, I would reckon Madrid would simply loan him out.

Looks like there's actually some smoke to the rumor that Garnacho and Mainoo are not un-sellable, due to United's PSR situation.
To buy more Zirkzees? Personally think they should cash in on Garnacho given the right offer. Lavezzi with better PR.

Chelsea was rumored to be interested, according to Chris Wheeler (tier 3 for United according to RedCafe ranking), bit I guess that puts that to rest.

i don't think there is a conceivable universe in which jonathan david's upside is higher than that of arda guler
TBH I totally just read Guler's name and didn't connect the dots...

Now that we are here though, I will double down..... When was the last Turkish player to truly live up to their potential? Maybe Guler is the next Emre Mor... :sarcasm:

Chelsea could fund a move for a central defender with a host of sales this month as the club weigh up a number of options including Crystal Palace captain Marc Guéhi.

Guéhi is one of a number of defenders Chelsea are considering and it is believed the club have made checks on Crystal Palace’s valuation of the player.

Re-signing Guéhi, who played for Chelsea from 2019-21, would be a difficult and expensive option but it has not yet been discounted.

Another option available is to activate a call-back on Trevoh Chalobah, who is on loan at Palace, although selling him to the Selhurst Park club would free up funds to pursue targets.
It remains to be seen whether Chalobah would want to join Palace permanently this month, while he may be reluctant to return to Chelsea, where he lost his squad number and trained away from the first team during the summer.

Chelsea would want to help fund any incoming business this month with sales, which would also help balance head coach Enzo Maresca’s squad for the second half of the season.

Among the players Chelsea are open to bids for are midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who has high-profile interest from Germany, and Carney Chukwuemeka, who has a £40 million release clause and, along with Dewsbury-Hall, is on West Ham United’s radar.
A bunch of players we bought to replace other players we lost are now also being sold to fund the purchase of players we used to have.

Garnacho I'd be fine either way... Mainoo would have to be a ludicrous offer for me to even think considering about letting him go.

Sounds like it would have to be a ludicrous offer, which would help United's PSR situation immensely, that would make United even listen. Mainoo has two years left on his contract, which United can extend by 12 months, so they're in no hurry to extend him.

I mean... even 100mil offer doesn't really do much for me. Obviously it clears up our PSR issues, but guess what we'd be doing in a couple years time? Spending that money on a Mainoo replacement. Or waiting for whichever youngster we bought to replace him to maybe get to that level. Moving Mainoo to fix the PSR issues is robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Curious what options United have for player sales that would help PSR on the transfer fee alone, since when you sell the remainder of the fee paid when signed gets added into the current accounting period

so a 100m purchase in year 3 of a 5 contract needs to be sold for over 60m to gain a positive PSR impact
