And make a killing. Essentially that’s what’s happening.

I don’t even know what Barca plans on doing. Who sits if they bring him in? They need depth not players who want to start every game but idk
I would guess that they cash out on Raphinha Summer 2026 and Nico comes in. Raphinha will be pushing 30 and in need of a new contract by then, and they know they can just bring in Nico to replace. Deserving or not, I don’t think they give Raphinha a monster extension into his 30s with them being able to add Nico.

Now if they didn’t have the Nico option that Obviously changes things a bit, but not every team has that luxury. LFC have to extend Salah into his 30s because there is no contingency plan/left footed right player who is obviously on the next plane to Liverpool. To say this another way; If LFC knew they had Nico Williams in the bag, I’m 99% sure they’d just let Salah walk on a free this summer even if they won leagues and he won BDO.

Just adding to what has already been said - Williams would be on triple the wages of Garnacho. So any difference in fee (which I also don't think there would be) would be fully offset and then some by that. Williams would be a major switch from the wage structure they've been focused on since that first disastrous summer of Sterling and Koulibaly.

It should go without saying that I think Nico Williams is far, far better than Garnacho. And that I extremely do not want Garnacho at Chelsea.

Some BuLi rumors:

- Mikayil Faye to Leverkusen
- Oleksandr Zinchenko to Dortmund
- Elye Wahi to Frankfurt
- Karim Adeyemi to Napoli
- Arnaud Nordin to Gladbach
- Junior Dina Ebimbe to Monaco
- Mergim Berisha to Augsburg
- Youssoufa Moukoko to Besiktas

As has been said, Nico Williams apparently wants big wages. Rashford money from what I’ve heard.

Other issue with a Nico Williams deal, highly doubt Athletic Club sell him in the January window.

According to The Athletic, Antony's wages are only £105K per week.

The Brazil international, who currently earns £105,000 per week at United, will spend the second half of the season with Betis after featuring just 14 times for United this term.

—Gerard Martin has signed a new deal with Barca. Guessing it’s more to just keep him on the books for now.
—Sport rumor where Palmeiras are apparently offering something like 25 million for 80% of Vitor Roque’s rights. I doubt there’s much to that, but if there is I’d try and get them to 100% and get the deal over the line.

- I'm very surprised that Heaven wants to move, he has talent, but he clearly looked some steps behind from even being a sub-level player during preseason. He might be effing himself because there could be a spot open if Kiwior moves this summer (a lot of smoke there).

- Some rumblings of Rashford to Barca on loan.

- Fati doesn't want to leave Barca.

- Eric Garcia is close to joining Como or Girona.

- Aston Villa screwed Barca because they were close to buying Oscar Mingueza, but went after Andres Garcia instead.

- Madrid waiting on TAA and believe they will get him on a free.

- Atletico are thinking of signing Trippier.

- Tomori declined a move to Juve.

- Jonathan David is likely to move on a free in the summer.

- City still wanting to buy Cambiaso from Juve, but it might be tough as Juventus still wants 80 million Euros for him (Man City want to get him for around 65 million).

- Tierney to Celtic, here we go.

-Like I said, Garcia isn’t leaving and even Cesc has come out and said he’s not going to Como.
-We’re not signing Rashford if Fati stays and probably aren’t even if he leaves.
-Not sure how Villa “screwed” us. The sell-on clause itself would “screw” us and from what I understand it was purely a footballing decisions.

Yeah but looks like nothing might happen, as Nkunku has only agreed terms with Bayern and Merasca publicly said they have all the wingers they need. :dunno:

From what I’ve read Nkunku wouldn’t leave this window. Felix maybe, but I would imagine he (stupidly) rejects the move.

@Evilo whata the scouting report on Mikhayil Faye? He’s had an interesting path in Europe so far, beginning with KUSTOSIJA in Croatia of all places to Barca. I remember him being highly regarded but has seemed to bounce around a bit
