LOI Registry Updates:
Charle-Olivier Villeneuve - Concordia - Fort McMurray (AJHL) - previously QMJHL
Louis-Philippe Fontaine - UQTR - Shawinigan (QMJHL)
Zachary Marquis-Laflamme - Ontario Tech - Truro (MHL) - previously QMJHL - NOTED ABOVE
Kai Dunits - Dalhousie - Northeast (NAHL) - bit of a suitcase

Kinda backs up the point that this rule change might benefit the French speaking schools the most . School was hard enough as is , I can’t imagine trying to do it in a second language .
I've had some players come here and having a hard time ordering a coffee at Timmy's, can't imagine some of them going to study in the USA.

Not really sure where else to post this, or even entirely sure how I ended up on this kids elite prospects profile lol. Do any of the 2-3 Ontario guys on here know this kids story? Seems like a guy who could be a good CIS recruit… unless he was essentially burning a year playing overage waiting on the rules to change or has zero interest in seeking an education… Can’t say I’ve ever heard of a former CHL captain and NHL draft pick playing Junior C hockey…

It's his hometown team. Alliston has a large Honda auto plant, so I will bet money that he is working there and playing one final season for the love of the game.

Looking at his points so far, he's done much better than when he was OHL.

Probably "Big Fish in Small Pond."

I'm sure there's Senior hockey nearby as well.

What other higher end MHL players do you like that could play in the AUS?

Phillippe Collette, 75 points in 40 games for Edmundston, however he is still eligible for junior next season

Ryan Hopkins, defence for Fredericton, played a season for University of Maine in 2023/2024

Thanks. I've heard Hopkins name mentioned before. 24 games as a rookie with U Maine. Taking classes at UNB.

Another guy who is taking classes at UNB who I’ve wondered about is Andrew Gweon. Depending how deep the rule changes affect UNB he might not be a bad depth pickup, although he is quite the academic so I don’t even know if he wants to play hockey at this point.
(Not to turn this thread into another UNB discussion)

Gweon is helping on the coaching staff with Fredericton major U18

I haven’t been able to open it on my phone ever since it changed to an Excel file awhile back.
If I select “View” on my IPhone it gives me an error. If I download the file first, I can open the downloaded file fine although it gives some weird warning about the file extension not matching the file type or something like that.
