Brutal whiff. One thing I am seeing from him here is bad body language and a lack of effort.

Didn't see that at the U20's. That won't help the draft stock. He's clearly very talented.. that top line can create against anyone.

I actually thought too about the body language.. he seems pissy. In fairness.. I know of a really pissy German in Edmonton that I cheer for every other night right now!

Congrats to the Germans on playing such a good game. Best I can remember from them against one of the big nations. That could’ve easily been a Germany win.

Only saw the highlights, but that went way better than expected.
Obviously it helped that it was a meaningless game for the US, but in most years they would still score around 10 on us, and we'd be lucky to get one.
And they did it without their one good defenseman. I hope to get a chance to watch a replay later today.

Next time I'll keep my mouth shut about our chances when the team is coached by a nobody like Čermák.
Yeah, and it won't be an honor. Every team should want to win. At the beginning of the season, we played this team against the same opponent in the final of the second biggest tournament and I wanted to win.

Czechs have been god awful and deserve to be relegated. But the Germans were very good and Sweden and us are fantastic teams. Pool of death crossover. No one expects a thing from us after that shitshow.

I call this the Czech sweet spot.lol

Germany: This is my upset prediction. I think this is one of the best German teams I've seen.
Sweden: I don't think Finland has the firepower to hang with Sweden, even if Sweden has been very average.
Canada: Canada hasn't really been tested, and maybe Czechia tests them, but this Czechia team has massively disappointed.
USA: I think this'll be the easiest QF win of the four. Latvia is no better than the third worst team team in the tournament. This won't be close.
