Canada is +2 better than USA with an easier opponent, winner in terms of goal differential (if both win in regulation today) gets set up with a likely semifinal against Slovakia-Germany who are typically not stronger teams. Expect Canada (who plays first) to really be trying to run it against Norway. An unfortunate side effect of making goal differential a cross-group tiebreaker in what would otherwise just be a game about ensuring a win.

Don't count them out too much. It was only Exhibition, so it's not really the same, but they did beat the USA in overtime pre-tournament.

Germans have run a mix of NZ forechecks and seem content to play pure zone in the d zone. A Box plus 1 where the plus 1 sits inside the box .

I'll add that Handel is not dressed for Germany and they are playing their #2 goalie. Kaiser.

We have not had U18's televised as long as U20 but I have never seen a better group of German forwards at this level. Better individuals but this is a 4 line team.
