So many questions - If that’s true then why re-sign Kovy? Will Nemec stay if he’s not in the top 6 next year? Are they trading Dougie this offseason?
Cozens hasn't been misused, he's simply been horrible for nearly two seasons. The reason he didn't land a better return is that teams began to catch on that he actually isn't really any good. If you want a guy with no puck handling skills and a hockey IQ that makes Risto look like Einstein always doing the dumbest and worst thing possible Cozens is your guy.CO
Cozens has been misused and mismanaged. He's a much better change of scenery pickup compared to Norris, who has a laundry list of injuries racked up and can't stay healthy. Both of them are on bad contracts so that doesn't matter much.
He was an interesting target for the Devils since he'd be cheap. Did very well on a 3rd line where he can just play his game. Struggled since he was moved up into a scoring role as well as given a leadership role.
We were mainly asking for better depth pieces on forward which we have needed for the entire seasonI see some disappointment here regarding their trade deadline choices. It was uneventful. However, how can he replace Jack, Dougie, and Seigs?
They would have to give up Dawson, Nemec, 2026 first round pick, etc.
Johnathan Kovacevic was re-signed. That's a plus. Glass is a RFA so there's some team control.
Have to imagine we'll trade Dougie & buyout Palat to free up a chunk of cap. We're probably stuck with Haula & Dillon for at least another year, hopefully we aren't stupid enough to re-sign Tatar again. So many questions - If that’s true then why re-sign Kovy? No. You're probably thinking of Tyler Dellow, who is the assistant GM there now.Tlusky seems to be completely lost in the GM role in Carolina. He came out of our front office didn't he?
