Yes, if they're on IR in any capacity they cannot be traded, but if they're simply out of the lineup due to injury they can still be dealt.

Avs did this a while back when they traded for Patrik Nemeth 2.0, he missed the first few games with a wrist injury, then proceeded to cement his legend in the eyes of the COL faithful that postseason.

The only way I see the Avs trading Ritchie is if they acquire a long-term #2C. Otherwise, I think they are keeping him so that he can eventually become that.

There's no way they are moving him for a rental.

Gourde is close to come back, he's skating with the team. Marchand isn't out long term.

I want Marchand mostly for the captainless locker room and Gourde would be some kind of security blanket for Mitts.

That dude who reported Coyle to Avs. Feels like it’s gonna be a move like that which CMac makes, and that would be semi disappointing I guess
 
Wait wait wait, Jack Hughes went to Colorado to see a doctor? Has he checked the Avs injury list? We are always tops in man games lost, yet other players from other states go to Colorado to get healthy?
