It's tough to tell. A lot of our bigger names have full trade protection or at least enough trade protection that they could block a trade to any contender. Schenn, Faulk, Buch, Parayko, and Leddy all have full NTC for this deadline. Binner has an 18 team NTC.
I think Army is pretty serious about making changes. He threw down the gauntlet with his press conference about, "Chipping away and going up the roster." He also didn't have the same hesitation about letting Schenn's name get into the rumor mill like he did last year. I think he wants to see how this team performs for the next two weeks against a schedule that comprises mainly of playoff teams. I think if we struggle and look as listless as we did for the 10 or so games after the Calgary B2B, major changes might be on the horizon.
A lot of these guys get way easier to deal on July 1st of 2025 though, as Leddy, Faulk, and Schenn go from having a full NTC to modified NTCs that only cover about 1/2 the league. Binny goes from an 18 team to a 14 team at the same time. Might be one of those situations where we don't make the move at the TDL, but the convos we have during this period sets us up to deal someone near the start of UFA.
