Play a game for a medal. That’s my first goal of every tourney. Check.

Really good show today. Looked faster and cleaner offensively than we have all tourney. Leonard was wonderful. Exactly how he needs to play. I’m more optimistic now than I’ve been all tourney. Good day.

A few nit picks: 1) wtf was w all the “sticky pucks” early. We skated over / lost half a dozen pucks that seemed to stick to the ice as we lost them. Just lack of focus….nothing less than that. Do little things well 2) I wanted Burnevik on thus team more than most. But he’s over his head. Every aspect of the game is too fast for him. Looks sad. 3) we may hafta go to 5 d. Minnetian and Kleber have lost me.

Easily the most individual talent in this tourney. Magical offensively when they bring their A game.

Forward depth doesn't seem to be a problem after all. Burnevik needs to sit though. And Eiserman needs to ratchet down the emotional intensity.

Defensive zone play is too often disjointed and sloppy. Wasn't a problem today, but they need to be clean that up.

Easy win. Switzerland was no real test. Thought almost everyone played well, but same overall concerns as the rest of the tournament. We aren’t that good defensively. Allow too many goals to bad teams and get caved against good teams. Take Burnevik off that PP unit. They can only score when they don’t pass him the puck.

Brett Larson runs the PP. He's Burnevik's coach at St. Cloud. He's the one forcing Burnevik into that spot.
That’s really pathetic. That could cost us in one of the next two games.

I have been away from HF but I wanted to say kudos to the U.S. team on NYE. Not only did they win but they handled themselves really well - unlike the Canadian kids. They are getting nothing but grief from the fans and, for the most part, they've handled everything with class.

Having said that, the tweet to Cowan was disappointing.

Wasn't there a tweet to Cowan from an American player telling him to F-Off? Called him "Cowboy".

Maybe I'm wrong or perhaps it was a "joke".
It wasn't a tweet from an American player, it was a tweet about what an American player said in the middle of the game. And as it's pretty mild for in-game trash talking, I have no issue with it.
