At what point does the HC overrule his AC? "Sorry, it's not working."

That's where we're at, with much tougher opposition upcoming. A PP goal or lack thereof could be enormous.

I'd imagine Carle isn't close to that point. He brought him back from last tournament to run the PP again and statistically the PP is doing well even if it's looked uneven most of the tournament.

Definitely not but he will be an absolute steal for the Wild. So much potential there

I was joking but also not likely. People love to hang on to hype long past its expiration date. So many folks always think a once hyped player is a steal when they go low in the draft. Kiviharju is likely not the very rare exception to the rule.

I will say this. Tampa at the time, to draft Carle is still to this day one of the classiest acts I have ever seen in sports. When you know the details why, owners son played with Carle at Shattuck, it says a lot about life outside of sports. That decision helped make Carle the man he is today. No team today would ever draft a player no matter the round, that can't play hockey anymore. Amazing moment and so underrated today in hockey circles or any sporting circles. Should be a movie honestly of never giving up on a dream.

That being said as a Hawks fan (Oliver Moore #2C next year), there is no better coach to target to help turn a franchise around then Carle. I could see the Hawks throwing the bank at him to lure him to coach a very young Hawks team next year with lots of US kids he is familiar with:Nazar, Moore, Vlasic, Slaggert, Commesso, Rinzel, etc..

It would be a great choice for a coach.

Good performance and win. Took care of business. Really liked our game in the first 30 minutes especially. Kept things simple, quick, and decisive with a puck on net mentality, which paid dividends. We didn't leave more scoring chances off the score sheet than on like we have in the other games.

One game at a time. Let's go!

Well deserved player of the game for Leonard. He had his game going today. Get that man an ice bath

We let up after 30 and netted 7 goals. The game started to get sloppy but what more should they do at that point. I would have liked to see more of the struggling guys get ice, seems I saw Connelly and Eiserman a bit more in the 3rd which was nice.

Bottom line in this. This team has the best offense in the tourney. And I am confident we haven't seen us close to firing on all cylinders yet. There is still more to reach here. That can either hurt us when the matchups tighten or unleash a monster to win this thing.

We got the wins we needed. All you can ask. Rest up and focus for Saturday. It's either going to be Czechia or Finland imo.

If Finland beats Slovakia...then you will be playing Finland I believe. Slovakia wins then you get the winner of Canada-Czechia.
