I think you're just too preoccupied with personal attacks and taking potshots to comprehend the point that I was making.

I never once said he was having some amazing tournament or wasn't struggling, so don't try to misconstrue what I said. My point was that, despite his and other players struggles such as Perreault and Connelly, he was having a bigger impact and the stats back that up.

His biggest downfall has been his emotions and he's taken another stupid penalty today
What personal attacks? The coaches as well have him as the 13th forward. It's numerous factors as to why. All you have done is post some stats like we don't know he has scored and gotten some assists. Yes at least he has done that. Others have struggled as well but he has NOT played well 5v5 which is why he is odd man out. You are having trouble with that. If he wasn't an Isles pick you wouldn't even be here bitching. 20 plus other kids to talk about as well, focus on the game.

Calling someone a homer or claiming they don't watch the games because of disagreement is a personal attack.

You're still missing the point, so I'm done trying to make it to you.

God help the rest of the field if the US ever stops 'struggling'...

They handled Slovakia (Pre-Tournament) like no one else has.
They handled Finland (Pre-Tournament) as well as anyone else has.
They handled Germany like no one else has.
They handled Latvia like no one else has.
They handled Canada like no one else has.
They're in the process of handling Switzerland like no one else has...

Their lone lost (a rematch w/ always extremely dangerous Finland) came in Overtime.

They'll most likely lead the tournament in goals when the Swiss game ends.
They're among the leaders in PP, PK, GA.

--

Have they been perfect? No. Are there areas for individual & team improvement? Sure. I read this thread and you'd think half the team was no-showing while the group was stumbling along, head barely above water...

One team could make an argument to having a better tournament to date and that's Sweden. I think there's a chance that second pool was just not all that strong...

Finish strong today, and your 6-0-1-0 in Ontario, needing one win for a medal, two for a gold - what more could you ask for?

Yes. The only reason you are here is because of an Isles player. Your only evidence is "stats" and not eye balls and coaching staff.
These aren't personal attacks they are facts. Thanks for stopping by though, nice to see you again lol...

You would think these countries start investing in their youth instead of pro leagues filled with ex North Americans. Swiss should have more depth than they do...I always pull for them when they don't play us
